El Chiringuito Marbella Opening Party
The summer 2018 has finally arrived to Marbella!
No summer begins without a grand opening event at El Chiringuito Marbella, located on Puente Romano beach (and voted by Conde Nast Traveler as the best beach club of 2018 via #HotList2018).
On Thursday 29th June from 7pm onwards the venue has a great pleasure to host a dinner and party featuring global star-DJ Serge Devant, supported by DJ Maga and DJ Gypsis.
Equipped with a classical music education, the teenage Devant moved to New York in the 90s with his family.
Serge Devant developed an insatiable taste for electronic music during the 1990´s explosion that saw acts like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, DJ Paul van Dyk and Carl Cox. His name and brand recognition grew up to a point where his name even appeared on his own exclusive Coca-Cola bottle as a part of the company´s Beijig Olymics campaign. This was led by his smash single “Addicted”, Serges first album, Wanderer, debuted in June 2009. That’s the singlen that made him an internationally acknowledged DJ. His music is stylistically diverse and transcends the boundaries of the genre; adding up to a hard-hitting, riveting but classically beautiful sound that is way more than just electronic.
“Music is my narrative” – DJ Maga
From an early age, the young turntable enthusiast learned the significance of world diversity and its influence in music while growing up in the United Kingdom, America and St. Lucia.
DJ Maga has opened for internationally acclaimed artists Common, Nas, Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, Kerwin Du Bois and Kes the Band to name a few. Furthermore, mixes by DJ MAGA have been recognized by renowned music critics MTV IGGY, Metro Magazine and more.

Petit Sea Grill – Tapas by the Sea
We have unviled a brand new authentic tapas area in its al fresco dining restaurant, Sea Grill, called Petit Sea Grill.
Sea Grill is already famed for its varied culinary styles and fresh produce, but now Thomas Stork (Executive Chef at Puente Romano), and his team have introduced healthy, local Andalusian tapas dishes in a new stylish spot within the restaurant.
Thomas regularly visits Marbella’s food market to pick out the freshest ingredients, that are packed with seasonal Andalusian flavours. Through a concept of healthy cooking and Spanish gastronomic cultures, Thomas has created a sophisticated home-made tapas experience, which unites the traditions of tapas with innovative international dishes.
As well as tapas dishes from the region, Petit Sea Grill will also have a fresh sushi and sashimi zone, which includes everything from abalone to snow crab and white prawns from Huelva.
In addition to the new healthy culinary alternatives, Thomas is offering guests a selection of exclusive international and local wines by the glass, thanks to the resort’s Coravin system. Puente Romano’s Sommelier, Carlos Garcia Ceballos, chose the wine list to give guests a wide selection of grape variety that all compliment the various tapas options. Guests will be able to enjoy some of the world’s most coveted wines such as Pétrus, Pingus and Chablis Grand Cru, all by the glass. Carlos will also be offering Mauro Godello – a very high-quality wine, with only 5,000 bottles produced each year.
Highlights from Thomas Stork’s Petit Sea Grill summer menu includes a choice of five delicious local olive oils, with flavours including thai chile & fresh coriander and fresh basil & dried tomato. All five olive oils have been made locally, either in Córdoba or Jaén.
Other traditional local dishes on the menu include Aloe Vera ceviche – a healthy, vegan detox for the digestive system, Salmorejo – a dish from Córdoba, consisting of tomatoes from local organic farms in Andalusia, mixed with bread, oil and garlic, as well as Mojama – a traditionally Spanish delicacy of filleted salt-cured tuna, caught from the nearby fishing area of Cadiz.
All dishes at Petit Sea Grill are served in a relaxed, but stylish atmosphere, encouraging the sharing tapas concept. Guests can embrace the natural surroundings of the palm-fringed promenade, showcasing the impressive mountainous backdrop of La Concha. Sea Grill boasts breathtaking views of the beach and, if guests decide to dine inside, the floor to ceiling glass walls will allow everyone to enjoy their meal with unrestricted views of the seascape.
