In the end of June, Puente Romano Marbella and Nobu Marbella had the great honour of hosting the highly acclaimed and influential chef proprietor Nobuyuki Matsuhisa – known to the world simply as “Nobu”.
Whilst in Marbella, Nobu enjoyed olive oil tasting as well a visit to the fish market to help provide inspiration for his menu. Nobu’s philosophy is to use as many local products as possible and these local delicacies are at the heart of his new menu.
Nobu spent his evenings at his newly opened restaurant, tasting and developing the dishes to ensure his high standards are met and that the local tastes and flavours of Marbella are brought alive.
Nobu will be introducing some new and exclusive Andalusian-inspired dishes to the menu, incorporating all the delicious fresh produce available in the area.
During Nobu’s visit, he also caught up with his friend, Michelin starred Chef Dani Garcia, at his new restaurant Lobito de Mar.
Nobu currently has 37 restaurants, spanning across five continents and Nobu Marbella was his first ever restaurant to open in Spain. Eleni Manousou, Executive Chef at the new Nobu Marbella, has over four years’ experience of working with the Nobu brand and is the first female Executive Chef for the Nobu restaurant group.
